Coronation-inspired historical fiction
The historical mystery novel Coronation by Eileen Enwright Hodgetts, which was published in April this year, is set in the England of 1952, where King George VI’s sudden death has created a crisis. Powerful forces are plotting to block Elizabeth’s coronation and replace her with another member of the royal family. As the royal jewellers prepare for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, they discover that the historic jewels in the Imperial State Crown have been replaced with fake stones!

Piers Corbyn criticised King Charles
Piers Corbyn, Brexit supporter and candidate in next week's Uxbridge & South Ruislip by-election, demonstrated against King Charles when he visited Colchester in March this year:

Piers Corbyn recently spoke of an "alternative Pledge of Allegiance" to an independent United Kingdom and "our movement to defend it against tyranny from home and abroad".
Some interesting comments on how the Cromwellian Revolution was never completed into a revolution for the whole people.

How to get rid of the monarchy?
“Ending the Monarchy has major implications, as it means completely restructuring and altering the entire political system. One very good reason why it has not been done already.” Getting rid of the monarchy and implementing a republic certainly is much easier said than done. Republic UK wants an elected Head of State and changes to the British Constitution. They suggest looking at how it all works in other countries. Maybe the monarchy will implode of its own accord. That would solve half the problem! Could this end up with an old joke of ours becoming reality? Could we end up with the House of Bojo?

American shock jock Howard Stern wasn't much impressed with the Coronation and likened King Charles III and his Queen Consort to 'vampires'. Heads may roll if Howard Stern ever visits the U.K.
The shock jock slammed the U.K.’s newly-crowned King Charles III and his wife Queen Camilla in his radio show on Monday, calling the king a “pussy” and the royal couple “vampires.”
“England’s got to get a grip on themselves,” Stern said. “I understand maybe it brings in tourism but Jesus H Christ. First of all Prince Charles is a pussy. That’s number one. And people are acting – the whole ceremony they’re acting like that f-ing guy went to war or something and then beat up all the other people.”
Well, Charles is descended from Dracula, aka Vlad the Impaler...

An unexpected supporter for a British Republic
The famous and wealthy Scottish-American industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie believed that the American system of government was superior to the British one. In the early 1880s he bought many British newspapers, all of which were to advocate the abolition of the monarchy and the establishment of "the British Republic". In his own words: “The Republic of England, when it comes, will excel all other republics as much as the English monarchy has excelled all other monarchies.” Ironically, he was known as the King of Steel and he said this: Carnegie has some blood on his hands. Some worker protests and strikes ended up with bloodshed. He also worked people hard for very low pay. There is quite the checkered past for Carnegie.

Is this some kind of pagan ritual? Maybe it is just to make the rain come...

State Opening of Parliament
The previous State Opening of Parliament was in May last year. King Charles will be starring in the next one on November 7th. The costumes will be a bit more formal than the one in the rain-making picture! Republic UK are accepting pledges for a Not My King protest. Will we see this placard again?

A good anti-coronation poster
The calligraphy on this poster on a Norwich bus stop is much better than the usual scribbled NotMyKing placards:

Mixed messages at the coronation
Anti-monarchy supporters of Republic UK, who want an elected head of state, seem to be a little confused here: They clearly do not see the irony... But it makes you wonder why they latched onto her. Almost as if there is a worship of a fifth column within the House of Windsor...

A good anti-coronation poster
The calligraphy on this poster on a Norwich bus stop is much better than the usual scribbled NotMyKing placards: I would argue it was more script than calligraphy. But I wonder... what if it is all part of a plan? What if there is a plan to remove the Monarchy with something more aligned with The Agenda? Something that is more WEF compliant?

Does Republic UK even need to campaign now?
“But I wonder... what if it is all part of a plan? What if there is a plan to remove the Monarchy with something more aligned with The Agenda? Something that is more WEF compliant? “ You could well be right. Sinister forces may be at work. The recent news that the Met Police are dropping investigations into Prince Andrew and the Prince Charles cash-for-honours scandal will not do the monarchy any favours either. Republic UK could just sit back and watch events unfold in their favour.

Leafleting campaigns!
Republic UK have a few small local events on this Saturday: they will set up a street stall outside Barclays Bank in Eastbourne and assemble outside a Tesco Express in Norwich before moving on to the city centre where they will give out leaflets: “Join members of our Norfolk Local Group for an afternoon of leafleting in Norwich the 26th August. The group will meet outside the Tesco Express on London Street at 12:00pm, before heading out to leaflet in Norwich City Centre.” www.republic.org.uk/norwich_leafletingThis reminds me of a scene in Red Dwarf where Arnold Rimmer comes up with schemes for getting rid of the alien Polymorph. He suggests street theatre, car boot sales and a leafleting campaign:

Our frog prince
In 2012, an Ecuadorian stream frog was named 'Hyloscirtus Princecharlesi' in honour of the then Prince of Wales. Holding his namesake: He has come a long way since then. Is this 'Hyloscirtus Kingcharlesi'?

King Charles has inspired some really good cartoons and artwork, including some of frogs and vampires. Here is yet another example:

'Abolish the monarchy' protest in Australia
There were many anti-monarchy protests in Australia last year after the succession of King Charles. Jack Charles, who appears on this placard, was an actor and an advocate for Aboriginal people:

The Queen Bee of Canada
There is a growing republican movement in Canada. Their goal is to replace the British monarch as the head of state with a resident, democratically-selected Canadian. An amusing poster from a protest in Ottawa as long ago as 2005:
