Rupert Grint/Ron Weasley and Ed Sheeran
I don’t know how you found Ed Sheeran Lavendel but he has many relevant connections. Rupert Grint pretended that he was living a double life as Ed Sheeran in a joke video: “Earlier this month, he hilariously revealed that he regularly gets mistaken for musician Ed Sheeran. And Rupert Grint took things one step further with a comical spoof video, where the pressure of moonlighting as the flame-haired singer got too much to handle ahead of a performance.“ Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-4338030/Rupert-Grint-secretly-moonlighting-Ed-Sheeran.html#ixzz52esO9PEd They may not be twins like Romulus and Remus, but they have similar colouring and there is certainly a superficial likeness. They have also worked together, deliberately accentuating the resemblance. Rupert and Ed in 2011: _-_____________ Unseenl I really didn't find him. He found me or my intuition found him. He as two songs on top ten in Germany. He is alot in the news.Somehow I didnt take him seriously until Harry proposed and he was declared the pop star version of Harry or so. His popularity is very much connectedto Harry as he gets mistaken so to be Harry. Thats why many young people think he proposed to Meghan. They also connect with other called Harry styles and they are all friends and the mix up cannot stop. What shocked me is that ed dad is art exhibitor for princes Charles. Ed and his mum make beads which have a Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, games of thrones vibrations. Ed Sheeran, ed redmayne, Harry styles, etc are people to watch. They are somehow connected to royals and charles

Damien Lewis speaks out against fake reds
This red-headed, blue-eyed actor does not like colleagues who dye their hair red: “Damian Lewis has lashed out at his fellow peers for jumping on his 'redhead bandwagon'. The handsome star, who is sporting a longer beard alongside his signature red locks, complained that he was sick of stars like Benedict Cumberbatch and Eddie Redmayne trying to muscle in on his patch. Speaking with Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain he joked about them stealing his spotlight: "They're now saying people are red headed when they're not actually redheaded. I keep reading press articles that say ‘Oh and the slightly red headed Eddie and Benedict or Tom [Hiddleston]’.” www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/damian-lewis-sick-fake-red-7951153I think that he is wrong about Benedict Cumberbatch, who does dye his hair though: Cumberbatch’s natural hair as shown above is reddish, and he dyes it dark brown for Sherlock Holmes. More and more people with red hair and blue eyes are appearing. I have two more to post about soon.
What is going on? And you are right, the red-haired people seem to be connected, one way or another.
You keep using your intuition and I will try to keep up with all the information!

Unseenl the English rose Diana could fit in this red bandwagen and fights. I have to say they have a confidence today unknown before. I dont know if Harry Potter or Harry the prince has to do with it. I mean there is a fight who is a true red head or not.
I think all these boys who are getting awards ed redmayne, ed Sheeran, Cumberbatch, Tim hassel all have a ruthlessness about them in their acting or show business. They are taking very uncomfortable roles and turning them into success. Is that the magic from Harry porter tales.
They all have clossness to royalty. Redmayne was with William in school, Ed Sheeran a Charles / savile toyboy, Cumberbatch a Richard 3 - The harry potter red heads were successful too.

Red hair thread or Pindar thread? Lavendel do you remember how we kept finding references to Pindar? There is a Nottingham man, not a celebrity, called Russell Pindar. Someone posted pictures of their little girl and Ed Sheeran on his Twitter page to show a likeness: His LinkedIn picture shows that he has red hair: His name is very suitable: ‘ Russell' is a male given name that originated from the surname Russell, which in turn derives from the Anglo-Norman russel (Old French rossel) " red-haired or red-skinned", from Anglo-Norman rus (Old French ros) "red hair color" or "reddish skin" So many coincidences and connections... I assume that as the pictures etc. can be seen by anyone online it is ok to reproduce them here.

Mick Hucknall - Simply Red
Mick Hucknall was with the band Simply Red for 25 years. He is yet another man with red hair and blue eyes: “The first thing you notice about Mick Hucknall when he walks into the room is the colour of his… eyes. Blue, they are …” www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/4603865/Mick-Hucknall-Celebrating-25-years-of-Simply-Red.htmlA portrait of Mick Hucknall as a young man by ‘Dorothy’, and Mick in a recent picture with Ed Sheeran:

L. Ron Hubbard had red hair and maybe blue eyes too
A few sources say that Hubbard had green eyes, but fellow SF writer Jack Williamson had this to say about the teller of tall stories: "I recall his eyes, the wary, light-blue eyes that I somehow associate with the gunmen of the old West, watching me sharply as he talked as if to see how much I believed." With relevance to Sol Invictus, the Church of Scientology bought a ship and renamed it Apollo. It became Hubbard’s residence and flagship. L. Ron Hubbard and his red hair: I have noticed before that Trump looks like Hubbard (at least as Trump has gotten older) and Trump has blond-red hair too:

I think that he is wrong about Benedict Cumberbatch, who does dye his hair though: Cumberbatch’s natural hair as shown above is reddish, and he dyes it dark brown for Sherlock Holmes. How do you know that Cumberbatch has naturally red hair, UnseenI ? What if he dyed his hair red at some point and that is the reason for the existence of the picture you have shown. If he has dyed his red hair brown for Sherlock when he would not be the only one: Mark Gatiss who plays Sherlock's brother Mycroft also has naturally red hair: So in the show Sherlock we have two red hair brothers who pretend to have brown coloured hair? This might just be a meaningless coincedence though.

Donald Trump has blue eyes and his hair is certainly pale ginger. I wonder whether he dyes it. What a coincidence if not - this is the rarest colour of all yet he and Prince Harry are in the news all the time.

Erik the Red
I am not knowledgeable enough to decide whether the Norsemen did or did not have red hair. I remembered someone who supports the theory that they did. From WiKi: “Erik Thorvaldsson (known as Erik the Red was a Norwegian Viking, remembered in medieval and Icelandic saga sources as having founded the first Norse settlement in Greenland...The appellation "the Red" most likely refers to his hair color and the color of his beard.” There are many depictions of this great explorer - and his ship - and the portraits all show him with red hair: Others claim that Erik was called the Red because he was responsible for many deaths and therefore spilled a lot of blood. I don't know what to believe regarding that case. Erik the Red has been the father of Leif Erikson who is said to have discovered America. I think I once watched a documentary which claimed that Leif converted to christianity and he suggested it to his father too but Erik refused to convert. I can't remember what the documentary's name was though.

You are right about Eric the Red truthseeker: 'red' does not always refer to red hair. I was thinking of adding William Rufus to the list of royals with red hair as Rufus means red, but while some sources assume that he had red hair, others say that this name was given because of his red face!

It is good to see you back, and you have found something very relevant to this thread. There is no point in listing people just because they have red hair: we want other connections and elements.
I need more time for this one.

Mark Gatiss and Benedict Cumberbatch have red hair and blue eyes
Neither fiery, flaming red nor intense blue, but they are on the spectrum and are definitely members of The Red-Headed League! “How do you know that Cumberbatch has naturally red hair, UnseenI“ In Benedict Cumberbatch’s own words truthseeker : “ESQUIRE: So Benedict, weird question, but is that (dark brown) your natural hair colour? BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH: No, it's been dyed quite a bit darker. I'm auburn and that's just not right for Sherlock. He's a creature of the night. He's got a dark, sociopathic side to him. The archetypal image of him is that he's a slick-looking, dark-haired gentleman with aquiline features.” www.esquire.com/uk/style/news/a2322/nice-shirt-sherlock-qa-with-benedict-cumberbatch/Here are some more pictures of the actors with their natural hair colour:

I just remembered that there is a "redbeard" in the BBC production Sherlock: For a long time Sherlock believes that "redbeard" was a dog he once had but in the last episode he finds out that "redbeard" actually was a playname of his best friend when they used to play pirates. Sherlock was blackbeard and his friend was redbeard. Sherlock changed his memory due to a trauma: Sherlock's sister Euros killed blackbeard.

This is getting surreal.
Where did Conan Doyle get the inspiration for his story The Red-Headed League from? Did he see into the future? Did he somehow cause all this to happen?
Having themed threads is an improvement on the old forum, but there is still some crossover. For example, Redbeard the dog is in the rabbits thread. His name has reminded me that some men have red beards and dark hair!

Mary Anne Trump again
What a find truthseeker ! However, sources say that her ‘orange swirl’ of hair was dyed. Her Scottish origin means that the natural colour might have been a bit reddish though. The description of her when she landed in New York says that she had fair hair and blue eyes.

Donald Trump's Scottish/German origin has made me think of the Stuarts and the Hanoverians. His mother learned English at school as a second language: she started life speaking Gaelic.

Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes and red hair
Shades of red hair in Conan Doyle’s own words
From The Red-Headed League:
“Every shade of colour they were - straw, lemon, orange, brick, Irish setter, liver, clay; but … there were not many who had the real vivid flame-coloured tint.”
Some of those lighter shades sound more like fair and blond hair, but I suppose that they might have had a slightly reddish hue - after all, we do talk about strawberry blondes.
Then there is the name of Conan Doyle’s hero Sherlock Holmes
The name ‘Sherlock’ has two suggested origins:
“masc. proper name, literally ‘fair-haired,’ from Old English scir ‘bright’ + locc ‘lock of hair.’"
“The character's name was from an English surname meaning "shear lock", originally referring to a person with closely cut hair.”
Bright hair and buzz cut hair? Prince Harry and Prince William?

Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes, twins, brothers and red hair again
In Harry Potter, the identical twins Fred and George Weasley are played by identical twin brothers with brown hair: they had to dye their hair red for 10 years while they were acting in the films. In the new Sherlock Holmes TV series, two actors with red hair - Mark Gatiss and Benedict Cumberbatch - dye it brown to play the two Holmes brothers. In The Sign of Four, we have the identical twin brothers Thaddeus and Bartholomew Sholto. Conan Doyle tells us that they have high, bald heads (Prince William) with a bristle of red hair all around the fringe of it (Prince Harry). They also have (weak and watery) blue eyes! Here is one of the Sholto brothers from the TV series starring Jeremy Brett: And here is a book cover in orange and blue with a red-headed brother lying dead: Some of the connections may be tenuous and just coincidences, but it is uncanny how Conan Doyle’s stories have relevance to the present. We need Sherlock Holmes to come on here and solve all the mysteries!

Was Jimmy’s Savile’s natural hair colour red?
Savile bleached his hair. Many of the early pictures of him and his family are in black & white, so we can’t be sure what colour his hair was before he went white/blonde. I thought that his natural colour was dark brown, but a poster on the DIF had another idea. There was a serial killer known as Bible John who was said to have had red hair, and there was a theory that this killer was actually Savile: “Actually, I think regardless of whether Jimmy's hair was blonde or dark, neither were his right colour. Look at his skin on the many pics that show his chest. His skin is super fair and filled with freckles - which often accompanies those with red hair. I'm certain his natural colour was red or at least fair/strawberry blonde.” This picture shows a reddish tinge, but it may not be his natural hair:

More red royals
Maud Windsor started school on the same day as Prince George. They are in the same class: “Frederick, 38, had made sure that his daughter was looking her smartest in the school's navy and scarlet uniform. The parents of the four-year-old had even fastened a red velvet ribbon into her curly red hair for the occasion. Maud is the eldest daughter of Lord Frederick and Lady Sophie of Windsor who are also parents to one-year-old Isabella. Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-4862740/Lord-Frederick-Windsor-s-daughter-Maud-starts-school.html#ixzz56DrMVfTk Maud’s father Lord Frederick Windsor as an infant: Red hair and blue eyes, just like Prince Harry. I wonder where the genes came from. His hair has darkened with age though.
