It was The People’s Voice debacle that made me lose a lot of faith in David Icke, in addition to what was happening to the forum. I gave only £5 to TPV, luckily. And now they want to resurrect the idea and launch TPV 2.0! There is a very ambitious mission statement, and a list of goodies linked to how much you pay per month. For $10,000 a month, you get to meet the team and attend team dinners. www.patreon.com/thepeoplesvoice

People’s Voice 2.0: get your popcorn out
I have just received an email from David Icke Books:
“Hello,
You may have received e-mails or messages from “The Peoples Voice” talking about the launch of “The Peoples Voice” 2.0 and asking for support and donations.
We would like to make it clear that this project has nothing to do with ether David Icke or anyone in his team. This project is something that we certainly don’t support and have no involvement with whatsoever.
We would urge people not to donate to the project.
Thanks, Jaymie Icke” Don’t worry Jaymie and David, I won’t be donating to this project.
Wait a minute, if TPV 2.0 has nothing to do with DI, where did they get my email address from?

Who is Jaymie Icke?
... and you have hit the nail on the head. If someone is running a scam, how did they know to contact you? I suspect their email database is compromised, or some other databases. Information is clearly in the hands of others, outside of Icke's control.
Either that, or you have Icke trying out the waters for a second go, and had so much hostility, they are backtracking, and trying to save face.
I wonder where the orignal email address came from? Was it from rtheir servers at all?

Jaymie Icke is one of David's sons. I got a reply from him. The new TPV gang have got the original TPV mailing list, which came from the forum members list. I am not sure what is going on: perhaps some of the new lot were involved with the original TPV.

Bot members: how has the mighty DIF fallen
I have looked to see how many members are online a few times recently, and seen some very suspicious names. The majority in this list of online members are the same apart from the first letter, and some of the others look suspicious too: 8lou1 , aapedVof, aronia , ayujoefum, BeaHaddock , capedVof , eapedVof , elpressiedente , kapedVof , KirstenPin , LouieWitte , old_stag , papedVof , qapedVof , rapedVof , tapedvof , trebor8, VivienGreen , wapedvof , wingwang , yapedVof

Maybe...
Seriously... why would I moderate that place? It's a cesspit. And I'm only interesting in delving in ones that are centuries - or millennia - old. Honestly, I wonder why they keep going. I guess they have to. If it goes, it would look like David Icke was retiring from the truth seeking game.

Shows how bad hings are over there. Still, they wanted to drive everyone away - mission accomplished!

The DIF is still a stronghold of useful and illuminating information. Much of the best material was posted ages ago. I sometimes search it when researching something. I do hope that they preserve it all.
They have very few regular posters now. Elshaper is still going strong.
I can't see any posts by these 'new members'.
I accept your denial - there is nothing much to moderate these days.

I have just had a look, and there are only 17 'members' online. How many of the names look authentic?
AndersonTr , berten60 , bsfBlola , Cce47q96 , eurosianguy , gapedvof , HanukQ , iapedVof , lapedvof , MoseSorrel , oz93666 , papedVof , TammaraEjw , tinywarrior , ToddN86514 , xapedvof
There is much more to David Icke's site than the forum, but it is a sign of a drop in interest. Soon you may have more active members than he does!

The David Icke Forum will be read only
Gareth Icke put this message out yesterday: “Hello all. This forum will become read only at the end of February. I think we need a new start, with a new forum that will allow us to add many more features in the future. Unfortunately we are a bit limited where we are. We don't want to lose the masses of information on here, which is why we are keeping it as a read only forum. Our new forum is at social.davidicke.comTo continue posting after February 28th, please feel free to step across and sign up there! Regards, Gareth“ forum.davidicke.com/announcement.php?f=3&a=45I wonder what is really behind this.

The old David Icke forum is not accessible Avacyn reported this yesterday evening, and this morning it is the same. I will try to find out more. I have all my old posts, but they are only a small percentage of a small percentage of all the information on that forum. The Jimmy Savile thread alone is a treasure trove.

The old DIF is still not available.
It has been read-only for more than one year now. When the new one was created there was talk of getting rid of the old one, but there were huge protests.
I can only find a short discussion or two about it now. Perhaps not many people are accessing it these days.
The error message says that the technical staff have been notified, and there is a contact link.

Old and new David Icke forums: lost and hacked
The old forum, forum.davidicke.com, is still unavailable, and much of it has gone from the caches. This is a huge loss. There is still no information about why it has gone and if it will ever be restored. I wish that they had left well alone and continued with this one.
I saw this post from Gareth Icke dated Wednesday 20th May on the new David Icke Forum social.davidicke.com:
“Hi everyone. It looks like we're currently back to relatively normal at the moment. Davidicke.com was under a sustained attack for over 72 hours and Ickonic was under a sustained attack for about 48 hours. They seem ok now. We're currently building a brand new social forum that will be better integrated, have more options, including zoom conference capabilities, chat rooms etc. Plus far better security. Hopefully won't be long at all. “
From what I can see, they have lost a lot of the posts. It is unclear whether or not they will be found and transferred to the forthcoming forum. People are still having trouble posting.
They have provided a temporary posting area while a new platform is being prepared.
It seems to be taking longer than expected.

Just one moderator now!
Screamingeagle is the name; a very low standard of English is the game.
A typical post:
"if they are not paid agents i will consider them as stupid it is matter of time when he will start funding WHO again and for me that will be the tiping point"

DIF members - what is left of them - are still using the new temporary general posting area.
There is no sign of the promised new platform, and no updates or explanations.
I still have a little hope left that the original DIF database was saved somewhere and will be restored.

From the little I have seen, not one of them comes anywhere near the best posters on the old DIF.
I am talking about the contributors to the Savile and Peaches Geldof threads. One by one they got banned or made inactive or just left because they had had enough.

Is Gareth Icke still running the place? I exchanged a few emails with Gareth back in the day. He came across as a decent bloke: fair, polite, and honest.
Very unlike his old man's moderators.

I get the impression that Gareth Icke is running the show. In May he announced the hacking and the creation of a new forum.
He asked for suggestions for facilities for the new platform.
He has not made any announcements for a week or two.

Gareth Icke is reported to have said on June 18th that the new platform was ready and they were working on a way to transfer the older posts. I am assuming that this does not include the historic DIF.

From Avacyn re the Hampstead case: "this story...was researched heavily on the DIF. Pity it is currently missing, it would have been useful to look into it, for this thread." This is a very good example of why the disappearance of the original DIF is such a disaster. A huge number of members made contributions to a particular topic, and much of the material was very useful. There is still no news about the current state of play.

New forum on July 10th?
The latest news is that the new forum will be launched on July 10th.
This will be DIF Mark IV; it is not clear how much of the material from the three previous incarnations will be included.

If only I had the free time I once had. I would very much like to revisit old discussions with my 'friends' on there.

There were some first class posters. I have some of their names in my old files, which I am starting to mine for recycling on here.
There have been no further announcements, which is worrying.

Alarming messages from DIF moderators
They have been working very long hours on the new forum and getting nowhere:
“ just letting the forum know that some people got next to no sleep. The 'new' place ain't happening anytime soon. Total mess with no admin communication / response to feedback and findings. l am disappointed in the extreme.”
“I also tested the new DI social for about 7-8 hours yesterday evening after work and into the early hours. Without going into detail about all the problems, glitches and my reservations about the concept of the place too, I feel that, in its present state, the new platform is not fit for purpose. It isn't user friendly and neither does it work intuitively. It was hard to navigate.”
Still worse news:
“I definitely do not wish to be given no option to join or not. I know what the new site software is and the plugins being used. It is not a forum .... it is facebook social media first and incorporates a forum. I only want a forum .... I don't need any 'followers' and I don't 'follow' anyone. Look .... If you 'like' facebook, then you will be happy with the new site .... if like me you just want a forum to discuss concepts, ideas and events .... then you won't!”
Social media style?
I just wish that they had left well alone and not abandoned the original forum - and that after banning or driving away some of the best posters.

Nothing yet!
Two more days to wait apparently.
The new forum may be available only to members. I think they tried this on the first DIF, and it didn’t work well.

Gareth Icke has given another update or two, but the situation is still rather confusing.
It seems that the new forum will be social only, and they will keep the current one for information.
They got the original forum back up, but now it is unavailable.

More problems, more postponements.
If all goes well, we shall have three different sites. I am only interested in the oldest one.
