Just as pigs did, rabbits – especially white rabbits - appeared on many boards in the old forum; just like the pigs, they are now getting their own thread. Rabbits make good pets and many children have them. White is a popular colour. No big deal there – most of the time. This thread is for special cases, for connections and pictures involving people who are of interest for other reasons. The white rabbit is a familiar image in many contexts. Like the hiding of one eye, it could be a sign of programming, in this case Alice in Wonderland. Many people are pictured with one, even BoJo:

Tony Blair, rabbits and a coincidence
The actor Michael Sheen played Tony Blair in the film The Queen. I thought that he did quite a good job. By coincidence, Sheen was the voice of the White Rabbit in Tim Burton's 2010 remake of Alice in Wonderland. Here is Tony Blair with a rabbit:

The Royal Rabbits of London
This is a children’s book, co-written by Simon and Santa Sebag Montefiore and published in October 2016. The Royal Rabbits are a secret society. They live in a warren under Buckingham Palace and protect the royal family. ‘It’s a very simple plot,’ says Santa... ‘The royal rabbits protect the queen at Buckingham Palace and it’s down to them to stop the villains – the ratzis – from breaking into the queen’s bedroom and trying to take a photograph of her majesty in her nightie which the ratzis want to sell to the press.’ Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/home/you/article-3810181/Santa-Buck-House-bunnies-Novelist-Santa-Montefiore-pens-children-s-book-Queen-s-rabbits-Buckingham-Palace.html#ixzz51Fq6c7G2 I don’t like the illustrations and was not impressed with the short extract the DM published, but something that makes this book of particular interest is that Santa is the sister of Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, who was featured on the CC forum. Here is Tara dressed as a rabbit:

Jimmy Savile, Benjamin Rabbit and the Stranger Danger
Published in 1985 and long out of print. Has an introduction by Jimmy Savile. Written to warn children about the dangers from strangers. “Prompted by the disappearance of Katy Cottontail, last seen talking to a stranger (and never again mentioned in the book), a police officer instructs Benjamin Rabbit's class on the dangers of strangers. On the way home, he is approached by a stranger, but he is aware of the danger and runs away.“ www.amazon.co.uk/Jimmy-Savile-Introduces-Benjamin-Stranger/dp/B00NEW3LRA

David Cameron dressed as a rabbit and the Queen watched him
This was in a school play 42 years ago, when he was 8 years old! The Queen was there because 11-year-old Prince Edward was also in the play, a dramatisation of The Wind in the Willows. He played the part of The Mole. From the DM in 2010: “If the Queen does ask David Cameron to form the next Government, she may remember the first time she saw him - when he was dressed as a rabbit. It was 35 years ago and the eight-year-old Cameron was taking part in a production of Toad Of Toad Hall at the exclusive Heatherdown School in Ascot, Berkshire.” Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/election/article-1275912/How-David-Cameron-met-Queen-dressed-rabbit--school-play-35-years-ago.html#ixzz51JSPMOeH David Cameron (left) stars as Harold Rabbit in a school production of Toad of Toad Hall in 1975

Rabbit coincidences Avacyn I see that you have started threads about Sumer and Roman mythology. It was Lavendel who noticed that Sumer is Remus in reverse; Remus is a mythological Roman character. By coincidence, it was the Romans who brought rabbits to the British Isles. Another coincidence: there is a fictional character called Uncle Remus, who narrates a series of folktales, many of which are about a trickster called Brer (short for brother) Rabbit.

Ed Sheeran and a rabbit
Ed Sheeran had a cameo role in Game of Thrones. The critics were not impressed; they said the scene was pointless and cringeworthy: “As if Arya hasn't suffered enough, she stumbled upon an impromptu woodland performance by the ginger pop hobbit.” He sings a song and offers some of the rabbit he has cooked to Arya Stark:

Mysterious death of Simon the giant rabbit
A story about a huge rabbit appeared in the news last April just as we were posting on the old forum about giant rabbits in the form of humans dressed as Easter Bunnies etc. This unfortunate animal was sold to the US and is said to have died in flight: “Beleaguered United Airlines faces fresh controversy after a 'fit and healthy' giant rabbit died in the cargo hold of one of its flights. Simon, a ten-month-old 3ft continental giant rabbit, was on track to outgrow the world's biggest rabbit - his 4ft 4in dad, Darius. But Simon's devastated owner Annette Edwards from Stoulton in Worcester claims he died in the cargo hold of a flight from Heathrow Airport to Chicago O'Hare International Airport.“ Simon’s seller Annette Edwards with another of her giant rabbits Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4445730/Giant-rabbit-dies-new-PR-disaster-United-Airlines.html#ixzz4fKnGkEG8 How very sad. It seems wrong to send an animal like this a long distance by air. Flying pigs are well known, but flying rabbits?

Simon: first they froze him then they burned him
Poor old Simon was frozen to death then cremated. “The owner of a giant rabbit has received a five-figure compensation pay out after her giant bunny froze to death on its way to America. Simon, a three foot long and black-furred bunny, was expected to outgrow his enormous father to become the largest rabbit in the world. The prize animal was alive when he was taken off the plane from London's Heathrow airport but died at a holding facility at Chicago O'Hare Airport. An airport worker revealed that the pet was placed in frosty temperatures by mistake for up to 16 hours, causing it to freeze to death last Wednesday. Now, former Playboy model and bunny breeder Annette Edwards, has been awarded an undisclosed cash sum on the condition she does discuss the case. Edwards earlier told The Sun: 'The whole thing stinks of a cover-up. I had been asking United over and over again for his body so that I can have him examined here in Britain but they never got back to me. 'Then finally, late on Friday, they called and told me he had been cremated and there was nothing they could do. I suspected he was dropped but to find out he was frozen to death has really knocked me. I had asked for the CCTV but they wouldn’t give me it and now I know why.'” Simon the black rabbit: Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4468044/United-Airlines-pay-compensation-rabbit-breeder.html#ixzz4fzUEEMSM Air, ice and fire. Interesting. Could there be anything symbolic here or was it just an unfortunate accident? ‘Sources’ and United Airlines spokespeople are giving differing reports of what happened. Did Simon die of cold in the cargo hold during the flight as was first reported and they put him in the freezer because of this, or was he put alive into the freezer? Maybe he was asleep – or drugged - and they thought he was dead on or after arrival so froze him. Did they cremate him to destroy incriminating evidence?

ISIS takes responsibility for Simon’s death
I did not realize immediately that this was a joke article or fake news. After all, there is that post about how ISIS killed boars on the pig thread! “ISIS claims dead rabbit on United Airlines Yesterday, United Airlines suffered another blow to their brand when a three foot, apparently healthy rabbit died on a transcontinental flight. Simon the rabbit's corpse was found at Chicago O'Hare—the same airport where David Dao was dragged off his United flight. Annette Edwards, Simon's breeder said, 'I haven't got a clue who's to blame, but it's certainly very weird when Simon was so healthy.' But those questions were quickly put to rest when ISIS took credit for the fatality, Tweeting, ‘ISIS is responsible for the rabbit's death on United. We will take more domesticated animals if need be.’ ISIS went on to tweet regarding the rabbit's nationality: ‘Simon was of British ownership, in transit to become a citizen of the United States. He would become an infidel.’ The State Department is investigating the claims while both Simon's British and American families mourn. They have respectively asked to be left to mourn in peace, additionally lobbying for increased security measures as they relate to preventing acts of terrorism." www.counterflick.com/fakenews/isis-dead-rabbit

Simon’s owner and a rabbit obsession
His owner Annette Edwards has a rabbit obsession. Maybe she got it from working as a Playboy bunny model: “Annette Edwards previously hit the headlines after she spent £10,000 on plastic surgery to transform herself into a real-life Jessica Rabbit. The former Playboy model forked out the money to look like the Who Killed Roger Rabbit? film character after a life dedicated to the creatures. The great-grandmother, who has ten children of her own, went under the knife in London for a series of operations at a clinic on Harley Street.” “Mrs Edwards has spent thousands to look like Jessica Rabbit, the Who Killed Roger Rabbit? film character, after a life dedicated to the creatures” "Mrs Edwards, pictured with Simon's father Darius (right) and his wife Honey, said that Simon had been in rude health before the flight" Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4457524/Giant-rabbit-Simon-died-United-staff-FROZE-him.html#ixzz4gSXV6ZBD Ten children? That used to be called breeding like a rabbit!

Sinister rabbit image Lavendel I know that rabbits are seen by many people as cuddly, fluffy pets and are popular because of books such as The Tale of Peter Rabbit. I also know that rabbits have been seen as destructive pests and a food source, especially by people who live in rural areas , but I didn’t know that they were portrayed as thugs, bullies and criminals in the Middle Ages! I wonder why. You found pictures of rabbits where the colours were red, white and black. I found a picture of an evil-looking rabbit on a building. It dates from 1901, and is known as the Vampire Rabbit of Newcastle. It has been re-painted a few times, black on one occasion:

Wow Unseenl thats an interesting find. I am asking myself who rabbits stand for in royal world. You posted of William holding a big tabbit with light illuminated to his head. Is he king of the Rabbits now? ____-________ Ed redmayne as 14 years old he acted on Ark Animals film. ___________________ Pics and clip from 1998 - Eddie's first-ever TV acting job in CITV's Animal Ark series. I still couldn't see this episode, but thanks to heatworld at least we have some pictures and a clip from it. EDDIE REDMAYNE’S FIRST EVER TV ROLE: At 16, the babyfaced ginger was billed as “Edward” Redmayne in the “Bunnies in the Bathroom” episode of Animal Ark. Not too young for his first screen kiss. (via bespokeredmayne) A 16-year-old and very floppy-haired Eddie played John, who returns home from his posh school for the holidays to find his dad (who owns the local pub) has become engaged to Sara the barmaid without telling him, three years after his mum’s death. The show sees 16-year-old Eddie play John, who returns home for the summer to find out his Dad is engaged to another woman, just three years after his mum's died. SHOCK! However, he instead spends his time with Mandy Hope, who persuades him to concentrate on his school project, on bunnies, instead. He gets to be a stroppy teen, fights back against some men that are rabitting and even gets his first on-screen kiss! Swit-swoo." In the IMDb-Leaky Cauldron interview in response to a question about his first TV appearance he reveals how he was responsible for his own ginger look: “Well, Animal Ark, was when I was fourteen years old, and it was an ITV children’s program and I did an episode called, “Bunnies in the Bathroom.” And I’m not sure if it was my finest hour. My memory of it was that I was on holiday from school and I was going through a period of trying to sort of momentarily rebel, but I didn’t want to dye my hair in peroxide ’cause I wasn’t quite that rebellious so, I put that Sun-In stuff in that– And so, I just went more– and it was during this week of filming this thing and my hair just went more and more ginger. So, progressively each day the character went…” Copied from addictedtoeddie.blogspot.de/?m=1The story of this film is of a boy16 years old comes home to find his father has married only three years after the death of his mother. The story plays close to Harry story after their father got back to camila three years after dianas death and his rebelious moments. I really dont know if its just a coincidence the boy colours his hair red and raises rabbits to get over the hurting

Follow the white rabbit... In the film The Matrix, Neo is told to follow the white rabbit. It's a tattoo on the shoulderblade of a girl, who is part of a group that come to his front door, seeing if he wants to go to a rave. This picture reminded me of that scene, for some reason.

What a find. Eddie Redmayne needs more investigation. Absolutely. He's been in a few things that make you wonder, like Jupiter Ascending. He was blasted for his performance in that film, and the film was hated when it came out. Honestly? I saw it a couple of weeks ago, and loved it. Then again, I have seen Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Cashgrab, so have whole new definitions of celluloid raging dumpster fires. Boy is that film a mess... But yeah, he's worth closer looking, I'd say.

You have an interesting connection on this thread, by the way. To the above, that is. Ed Sheeran and a rabbit
Ed Sheeran had a cameo role in Game of Thrones. The critics were not impressed; they said the scene was pointless and cringeworthy: “As if Arya hasn't suffered enough, she stumbled upon an impromptu woodland performance by the ginger pop hobbit.” He sings a song and offers some of the rabbit he has cooked to Arya Stark: Game of Thrones was the first book in the series. People call it that, but it's really A Song of Ice and Fire, as the overall title for the series. I'm certain that if I were to watch the series, I'd find a lot of connections and symbolisms in it. But... a singer, rabbit, ice and fire... makes you wonder, doesn't it?
