Symbolism at the Hoover Dam

The Hoover Dam, which is in the Black Canyon on the Colorado river at the border between the states of Arizona and Nevada in the US, contains much artwork of interest.

“They died to make the desert bloom.”

The Hoover Dam Memorial Monument was created for the 96 people who died during the construction of the dam. This raised arms pose has been mentioned on here is a few places; some kind person has put the memorial with an Ancient Egyptian picture for comparison:

Note the fasces; ‘Nil Sine Numine’ means nothing without providence or nothing without the deity.

Bronze figure at the Hoover Dam, angel or Lucifer?

There are two of these statutes, which remind me of Egyptian pharaohs or the two huge stone figures by the waterfall in Lord of the Rings.

I agree in the Egyptian look. It does fit it a lot, such as the existance of negative space. What interests me is the lack of a back rest of some description. It makes it not look like a proper throne. I've also seen that symbol in the box somewhere before as well, but cannot recall exactly where -for now.

Painted cruise ships

Another new source of images, although most are not relevant to Sol Invictus.

“A giant, brightly painted cruise ship has been seen looming above the German countryside, sending herds of perplexed sheep running as it made its seemingly impossible journey down a narrow river.

An enormous shadow was cast over the otherwise peaceful, pastoral scenes in Papenburg, North Germany when new cruise ship The World Dream made its maiden voyage away from the shipyard where it was built and weaved backwards down the river.”
