The Whitechapel Murders occurred from 1888-1891. Five of them are regarded the work of Jack the Ripper. I'll start with those murders, and build up from there:
Tuesday 3 April 1888: Emma Elizabeth Smith
Tuesday 7 August 1888: Martha Tabram
Friday 31 August 1888: Mary Ann Nichols
Saturday 8 September 1888: Annie Chapman
Sunday 30 September 1888: Elizabeth Stride and Catherine Eddowes
Friday 9 November 1888: Mary Jane Kelly
Thursday 20 December 1888: Rose Mylett
Wednesday 17 July 1889: Alice McKenzie
Tuesday 10 September 1889: Woman's Torso
Friday 13 February 1891: Frances Coles
I also want to add a couple of others to the list. They are not canonical, but happened in the same area, and may or may not be connected:
Monday 27 May 1901: Mary Ann Austin
Friday July 2nd 1909: Kitty Ronan
Tuesday 7 August 1888: Martha Tabram

Saturday 8 September 1888: Annie Chapman
Sunday 30 September 1888: Elizabeth Stride and Catherine Eddowes
Friday 9 November 1888: Mary Jane Kelly
Thursday 20 December 1888: Rose Mylett
Wednesday 17 July 1889: Alice McKenzie
Tuesday 10 September 1889: Woman's Torso

I have emboldened the murders considered to be the work of Jack The Ripper.
The others are connected by time frame and location. That said, some feel that some are the work of the Ripper. Rose Mylett was ruled as a murder, but was felt to be an accidental death, hanging herself by her collar whilst drunk.
It should be noted that Mary Jane Kelly's death was exceptionally gruesome: three years after the event, the room was still blood stained.

All of the victims had their throat slashed, quite deep, sometimes nearly decapitating them. Depending on the level of opportunity, he would disembowel them in some way. Also there was arrangement of items/body parts about the body.
The murderer's methodology seem to be all about overpowering and overwhelming the victim, and killing them before they could do anything. Elizabeth Stride had bruises on her shoulders and back of shoulders, attesting to being shoved to the floor, and being pinned down.
Some say they were not sexual murders, some say they were. There is a lot of confusion and muddling about with all of this, I'm afraid...
