Thomas Markle buys a ‘throne’
The DM must have agents who stalk Meghan Markle’s family. They have surpassed themselves here: “His daughter will become a member of the royal family in less than six weeks. But Thomas Markle has been doing some shopping for a 'throne' of his own as he bought a new toilet from a DIY store near his home in Rosarito, Mexico. Meghan Markle's father went shopping at the Home Depot before picking up some potatoes, milk, bread and some paper plates at a neighbouring Walmart.” Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5603097/Meghan-Markles-father-Thomas-gets-throne-buys-toilet5601121.html#ixzz5CuGEgrAZ There is blue and orange in some of the pictures, and surely Orion means something.

Meghan Markle should beware of the backfiring phenomenon truthseeker’s post about Princess Diana’s driver Henri Paul reminded me that all Mohamed Al Fayed’s ambitious plans backfired. Not only did he not become step-grandfather to William and Harry, but his son was killed. He must have been so happy to see Dodi and Di together, but his hopes were raised sky high only to be ruined. I am very interested in the backfiring phenomenon and have found several examples. I am now wondering about Meghan Markle. Her hopes have been raised; everything she always dreamed of is within reach - there is just over one month to go before the wedding - but maybe it is all going to go horribly wrong for her. I think that Harry deserves all he gets if he marries someone with her record. I wonder whether there will be even worse revelations coming out. Will something happen to prevent the wedding, or will it go ahead so she feels she is secure, only for some disaster to strike afterwards? We need to have our popcorn ready!

The end of the Queen’s corgis
The Queen decided a while back not to replace her corgis when they died. She didn’t want any of them to live on without her, and may have been afraid of tripping over them as she got older. Natural wastage and interventions have done the job. Willow the last survivor was put to sleep on Sunday. Willow was the direct descendant of the Queen’s first ever corgi. A major link with the past has gone. Everything is slowly slipping away from her it seems.

The Queen, her corgis, James Bond and some connections
The Queen and some of her corgis appeared in a James Bond sketch as part of the 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony. The Queen received James Bond (Daniel Craig) at Buckingham Palace. Two stunt doubles later parachuted into the Olympic arena. Rowan Atkinson, who had appeared in a James Bond film, also took part in the opening ceremony. The three corgis were Monty, Holly and Willow. Holly, willow and rowan are featured in Celtic tree lore. Is this just a coincidence? The real ones: The doubles. The matching orange/pink bloomers are a nice touch: The sketch:

James Bond sketch: another coincidence and a death Two Connerys
By coincidence, the man who dressed up as the Queen for the parachute jump in the James Bond sketch is called Connery. (For anyone who does not see the significance, Sean Connery was the first cinematic James Bond.) Sky News had this to say at the time: “The man who played The Queen leaping out of a helicopter in one of the most memorable moments of the Olympic Games' Opening Ceremony has told Sky News how the stunt took months to perfect. Gary Connery said he had carried out a number of test jumps at various airfields and over the Olympic Stadium before the main event that was watched by hundreds of millions around the world. Mr Connery, who landed on a nearby bridge, described the jump as "unsurpassable" and" absolutely stunning", adding he "thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as queenie". As he came down to earth, the real Queen then made her entrance alongside her husband Prince Philip as they were introduced to the crowd.” The colleague who played James’s Bond’s double is now dead:
“The British stuntman who parachuted into the Olympics opening ceremony dressed as James Bond has been killed in a wingsuit flying accident. Former army officer Mark Sutton, 42, was wing-diving from a helicopter in the Swiss Alps yesterday when he crashed into a mountain ridge. Last summer, he was Daniel Craig's double in the memorable parachute jump alongside fellow stuntman Gary Connery dressed as the Queen. The short film showed James Bond being summoned to the Palace before skydiving with the Queen into the Olympic stadium with Union-Jack emblazoned parachutes.” www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/mark-sutton-dies-olympics-stuntman-2169489Two of the corgis watch the two stunt doubles leave in their helicopter and we see Mark Sutton in the centre:

I predict that if certain members of Meghan’s family are not invited to the wedding, they will turn very nasty and reveal a lot more about her past!
I suspect that we will not have to wait long to see some developments.

Catherine of Aragon and Mary of Teck
Born close to 400 years apart, these two princesses had one thing in common: the death of the heir they were married/engaged to followed by a marriage to his younger brother, who later became king.
Catherine of Aragon was briefly married to Prince Arthur, then after he died to the future Henry VIII. It is said that Henry VII considered marrying her himself at one point. She died at the age of only 50, having been pushed aside in favour of Anne Boleyn. She had only one surviving child.
Mary of Teck was engaged to Prince Albert Victor (Eddy), then after he died married the future George V.
Catherine was married for only five months. Mary was engaged for six weeks.
Who knows what misery was hidden behind the basic facts. They were just pawns.

The Queen Mother and two royal brothers
The Queen Mother may have had something in common with Catherine of Aragon and Mary of Teck, even if it was just in her own mind. There are stories that she hoped to marry the Prince of Wales, the future Edward VIII, and as he was not interested in her settled for second best in the form of his younger brother Albert, the future George VI. She was reluctant to accept Bertie’s attentions, stringing him along but procrastinating over and refusing his marriage proposals. Perhaps she was holding out in the hope of marrying the glamorous elder brother. The Prince of Wales was the future king, and he appeared more attractive, dashing and sophisticated than his brother. If she was really after him for himself, she must have been disappointed. If it was his position that appealed to her, she became Queen anyway. This makes me wonder about Meghan Markle... There are also stories that the then Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon had hoped to marry a dashing man called James Stuart, and that it was Queen Mary who, after getting Stuart sent to the USA, pushed her into agreeing to marry Bertie. So much speculation, but we can be sure that royal relationships should never be taken at face value and that so many reported romantic love stories are nothing of the kind. Here is the official engagement photograph, She does not look particularly happy to me:

Here we go
"The Duchess of Cambridge is in the early stages of labour with husband Prince William by her side as they prepare to welcome their third child. Kate arrived in the early hours by car at the private Lindo Wing, at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, where she previously gave birth to Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two. There had been speculation that Kate, 36, was due on April 23, with Kensington Palace only confirming she that the due date was this month. Royal family superfans set up camp outside the hospital over a week ago in anticipation." Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5627047/Duchess-Cambridge-admitted-Lindo-Wing.html#ixzz5DTq86qse

It’s just not the same without the old CC brigade. All I can think of to say is that Kate looked genuinely happy and that her mother looked very angry about something:

No wonder Kate has been looking so happy
She now has her Get Out of Jail Free card: “The Duchess of Cambridge welcomed her third baby yesterday, but despite being well versed in motherhood it seems the royal is set to do things very differently with baby number three. When Kate went on maternity leave last month, aides confirmed that the Duchess would not be returning to official duties until the Autumn and even then her 'primary focus will be on her children'. It is in stark contrast to her quick comeback after having Prince George when she opened the Ring of Fire marathon in Anglesey, six weeks after giving birth, and attending the America's Cup World Series in Portsmouth two months after having Charlotte.” Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-5626371/Why-royal-baby-number-three-different.html#ixzz5Dbgvlr1k With Meghan keen to get out there and be seen, Kate can now take a back seat. Could this be why Carole is looking annoyed? Does she prefer to see her daughter in the public eye?

Was Prince Albert Victor/Eddy, Duke of Clarence murdered?
From aletheia on the Miscellaneous Monarchy thread: “I've always found Prince Albert's story rather interesting, not least as he was one of those suspected to be Jack the Ripper. “ Yes, he is of interest for more than one reason, in particular his very convenient death ‘from influenza’ at the age of 28. English history is full of similar cases, and it is likely that there is nothing sinister about most of these deaths. However, I have the idea that there was some kind of intervention in Prince Eddy’s case. This is just a bad feeling. Perhaps he really was very ill but was not given suitable treatment. There are many unsavoury rumours and a lot of speculation about him, but not much hard evidence. I am not so sure that he was removed from the succession to the monarchy because of his alleged crimes: general unsuitability because of his personal deficiencies and bad conduct might have been enough. He had learning difficulties and was partially deaf. According to WiKi, The New York Times ridiculed him as a "dullard" and "stupid perverse boy", who would " never be allowed to ascend the British throne." British newspapers might not print such things out of respect for the monarchy, but there was no reason for overseas media to conceal the truth. Perhaps such critical articles had their influence on Queen Victoria and other key people. This picture has been identified as Prince Albert Victor as a small child, on the only throne that he would ever ascend:

Prince Eddy and the royal façade
Albert Victor was definitely not a good prospect for the monarchy, and probably not as a husband and father either. Princess Mary of Teck had a lucky escape, in my opinion. His grandmother Queen Victoria and mother Princess Alexandra were reported to be broken-hearted when Prince Eddy died. It could well be true that Princess Alexandra was never the same, but I have my doubts about the Queen. Queen Victoria might have compared her grandson with the first Prince Albert and found him very much wanting. She received daily progress reports from his tutor, and may have realised that he could not meet the requirements. Perhaps she wished him out of the way and someone did something about it. There is even speculation that he did not really die but was taken away somewhere and imprisoned. Victoria mentioned Eddy’s ‘dissipated life’ in private letters, a life that the majority of her subjects didn’t know about. There is a big difference between the real man and his golden boy public image. This is obvious from the accounts given of him when he died. The newspapers were full of purple prose: “The young Prince, next after his father in succession to the Throne, was not only the bright hope of his household, but his excellent qualities, which led no single word of ill to be ever spoken of him; his unfailing amiability, which conciliated the good feeling of all around him; his ready and dutiful acquiescence in the wishes of his parents, which made him beloved in the family circle; and the well-known loyalty of affection, which kept him steadfast to the love of his boyhood – these characteristics brought him to be regarded as the bright hope of the whole British nation.” www.jack-the-ripper-tour.com/generalnews/death-of-the-duke-of-clarence/The typically Victorian death-bed scene:

Thomas Markle Jr. turns nasty
I said this a while back: “I predict that if certain members of Meghan’s family are not invited to the wedding, they will turn very nasty and reveal a lot more about her past! I suspect that we will not have to wait long to see some developments.” Meghan’s half-brother Thomas has written an extraordinary open letter to Prince Harry. He says that Meghan is ‘jaded, shallow and conceited’: “The 51-year-old, who is from Oregon in the US, then went on to claim that their father went into debt in order to support Markle's acting dream and is still struggling financially. He also claims that their father was not invited to the wedding. 'What kind of person starts out by using her own father until he's bankrupt, then forgets about him in Mexico leaving him broke, over mostly all her debts,' the letter continued, 'And when it's time to pay him back she forgets her own father like she never knew him.'" Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5683559/Meghan-Markles-brother-warns-Prince-Harry-biggest-mistake-royal-wedding-history.html#ixzz5ENEIbPix The lottery win story originated with Thomas Markle Jr. So what is all this about his father getting in debt and going bankrupt to finance Meghan’s education? I wonder what new stories he will come up with. I also wonder whether this letter ever reached Prince Harry. The DM commenters are going to stock up with popcorn. I hope that they leave some for us!

Meghan Markle’s family again
Her father is reported to be coming over for the wedding after all. He has won the lottery after all, in a way: he will be meeting all the royals and playing a major part on the world’s stage.
This will probably make the half-brother and sister even more bitter and resentful.
The wedding is in two weeks’ time, which gives them a chance to come up with more ammunition. I wonder whether the book of memoirs that half-sister Samantha is writing will be out by then.
Samantha is no stranger to writing. She worked on The Participant:
“In the 1950's, the Milgram Experiment tested a subject's willingness to follow directions when administered by an authority figure. This Sci-Fi short takes those experiments and gives them a futuristic twist.
Writers: Samantha Grant Markle (story) (as Samantha Grant), Vic Browder (co-writer) “

Thomas Markle’s wedding suit
No matter where Thomas Markle goes and what he does these days, someone will get a picture. He is giving the media good value for the money they must be paying the stalkers. Or maybe they are paying him to put on a good show! He has been to a backstreet tailor near his home in Mexico to be measured for a suit. The material in the background does not look very suitable, hardly in the bespoke Savile Row class. The Sun is speculating that his measurements will be passed on to a top London tailor. We shall see. Don’t people normally get measured in private? www.thesun.co.uk/news/6215569/meghans-dad-thomas-markle-measured-for-suit/

Doria Ragland (Markle) and a Louis coincidence
I have already posted about the meaning of some Markle-related names - Thomas, Doria, Rachel and Zane for example.
I have just found something else: Meghan’s mother’s first names are Doria Loyce.
Loyce is a variant of Louise, which is connected to Louis.
The Markle coincidences are scattered over many threads and boards; maybe it is time to collate them.

Thomas Markle plays to the camera again
I can still hardly believe that this marriage is really going ahead. The thought of Meghan’s parents interacting with the royals is very amusing. One of them at least is doing some homework in preparation for the big event: Mr Markle has been seen reading a picture book in Starbucks. I wonder whether someone bought it for him and asked him to read it in public. If he is the private person he is said to be, why would he do all these things that attract a lot of attention?

Thomas Markle goes too far
He was photographed working out a couple of weeks ago, the implication being that he was in training for the wedding. Whose ‘good idea’ was this? Who will believe that this exercise is real and not a show staged for the camera? Not only that, but what will be next? A major personal makeover with before and after pictures? Etiquette and bowing lessons followed by a staged wedding rehearsal with royal look-alikes? This is all very good entertainment. I can’t wait to see what he does next. www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-5640149/Meghans-father-pictured-working-Mexico.html

Thomas Markle - circus performer
While Meghan looks as though she enjoys public appearances and thrives on all the attention, her father looks very uncomfortable. The pictures of him doing various stunts reminded me of - something. Eventually I remembered what it was:

Meghan Markle - another prediction
I think that she should enjoy all the attention while it lasts. It sometimes happens that when things begin to take off, people think that it is just the start of something big and that it will grow and grow and get better and better. Then, something happens and they look back and think sadly, “That was as good as it got.” Sometimes it all backfires, and not only do they not get the wonderful outcome that they were expecting, but they lose what they already had. Maybe this is as good as it gets for Meghan:

Twinings Tea and a dodgy deal
Twinings is said to be the Queen’s breakfast tea of choice. Thomas Markle has been photographed holding a carefully displayed packet of Twinings. The other picture shows what looks like a dodgy deal, but is probably just someone offering him money to pose with the packet of tea! If he really is bankrupt still/again, he probably is grateful for the chance to get some easy money. What next, I wonder. Maybe they will get a corgi for him to pose with.

Thomas Markle does his homework
He was seen looking at news items about Meghan and Harry in an internet café. Some naïve commenters in the DM are still saying that people are invading his privacy. He should soon be able to afford some new clothes so he will have something to wear other than the navy blue outfit he favours!
