Some good news: Lauren Southern is back! I disagree with Lauren on many issues, but she never caused drama on the right, and she's done brilliant work; her documentary on South African farmers was excellent. Plus, her coming back has really upset massive liberal drama queens like Paul Joseph Watson and the insufferable Milo Yiannopoulos, which is never a bad thing!

“...the insufferable Milo Yiannopoulos...”
I had forgotten all about him, although he was a person of great interest on the old forum.
I think that at one point you believed he had something to offer the world.
I have stopped following many political developments. I know that many ‘alt-right’ people were deplatformed and some decided to retire from public life. Some are now in custody.

I loved this video from back in September 2016, when Lauren Southern appeared on Sky News and let rip. The unpleasant Kay Burley's reaction just capped off this funny quip about putting on bronzer and rocking up on the shores of Sicily in order to migrate to Europe.

I think that at one point you believed he had something to offer the world. I have stopped following many political developments. I know that many ‘alt-right’ people were deplatformed and some decided to retire from public life. Some are now in custody. No, other posters liked him, but I've never been a Milo fan. My view is that he channeled the unhappiness of young men towards the system-approved dead ends of woman hatred, libertarianism, and Islamohysteria. A more optimistic take was that Milo was a stepping stone from the mainstream, bringing Catholic views to a younger audience, but I never bought into that. It was obvious that Milo's talk about Catholicism was lip service. A sincere Catholic wouldn't bathe in pig blood, dress up as a woman, or constantly joke and boast about drug-fuelled orgies. And on a philosophical level, Milo's individualist, capitalist worldview is at odds with Catholicism. Having said that, I do think on some level Milo does see the worth of traditional values. His defence of Memories Pizza - a family-owned pizzeria in Indiana that was the victim of a spiteful campaign by the gay lobby - has always stuck in my mind. It was very genuine and heartfelt. He was compassionate and humble, not the annoying loudmouth he normally is. But I don't think that side of him will ever win out against the other side of him, and for me, the good parts are ruined by all the flies in the ointment.

More annoying than Milo is Paul Joseph Watson. A catty and petty little man. When Lauren Southern announced her return the other day, PJW went on a really weird tirade against her because she had the cheek to take a year offline. In that time, she got married and had a child. Good for her! I'm the same age as Lauren, and I wonder why someone like PJW, who calls himself a conservative, would attack a Zoomer for having a family. Here's Lauren's South Africa documentary, a high-quality work of journalism worth more on its own than any of PJW's work, which is mostly tedious attacks on low-hanging SJW fruit:

Here's Lauren's South Africa documentary, a high-quality work of journalism worth more on its own than any of PJW's work, which is mostly tedious attacks on low-hanging SJW fruit: I remember reading a YouTube conversation from around the time before Trump took office, the commenter was a dissident right type who was claiming that he knew Paul Joseph Watson before he became an Internet figure. Extraordinarily he claimed that PJW was actually an 'anti-racist' rabbble rouser back then (I imagine the types who used to throw eggs at Nick Griffin). The commenter said that he walloped PJW after he came up to him chanting lefty slogans. This story seems far-fetched and borderline trollish but it's a funny scenario to picture.
He is quite petulant and it looks like he was actually harrassing Lauren Southern, by text, from that Twitter thread. Things are bound to get more interesting with her return to the fray.
