Christopher Lee died at 93
I always thought that there was something rather sinister about Christopher Lee – and I don't mean his performance as Dracula! His personality seemed rather unpleasant. Sir Christopher Lee gave a very interesting interview where he talks about magick and the occult. When the interviewer asks him whether this stuff is real, he becomes deathly serious and delivers a rambling monologue on the Left Hand Path and other mystical concepts. His principal concern is Satanism and Devil worship, but he may have been playing up that element for the 1970's TV audience. Lee was very well connected to high society and the Families. He reportedly met one of Rasputin's assassins when he was younger.

Christopher Lee's life
I had a quick look at Christopher Lee's Wiki entry. It was all new to me. His lineage and Intelligence and other connections are very interesting. His step-father's name was Harcourt George St-Croix Rose, which makes me think of Rosicrucians. The entry has references to many of the usual suspects, including Ian Fleming and Dennis Wheatley. I suspect that there was a lot going on below the surface of his life. His connections, achievements and accomplishments are very impressive indeed, but I still feel that something isn't right... Devil's horns or just 'rock on'?

Sir Christopher Lee's biography reads like a coverstory for something. He has the hallmarks of a spook and was intimately connected with military intelligence through his familial links. Also worth noting that the age he died (93) is one of the most important numbers in Thelema. Crowley is another figure that is associated with espionage and many suspect that he was recruited at Cambridge University.

Christopher Lee: Grand Master of the Templars
Christopher Lee played yet another cruel and evil villain in the 1997 TV series Ivanhoe. He was very impressive as Lucas de Beaumanoir, Grand Master of the Knights Templar. All six episodes can be found online.

Ernest Shepard: lived to the age of 96
The artist Ernest Shepard, who died in 1976, is best known for his pictures in Wind in the Willows and the Winnie the Pooh books, although as a quick image search will show that he had a much wider range than children's books. Two immortal pictures:

Alfred Bestall and Rupert Bear
Alfred Bestall is another one for the good guys' team. He is the fourth illustrator to be featured here. He died in 1986 at the age of 93. Just like Ernest Shephard, he is best known for his bear pictures. Rupert Bear first appeared in the Daily Express in November 1920, so he will soon be 101 years old. Alfred Bestall took over producing the Rupert stories and illustrations in 1935. He did this for 30 years. He also produced many covers for Rupert annuals. One of Alfred Bestall's beautiful pictures of Rupert and his friends:

Michael Collins, astronaut
The American astronaut Michael Collins was born on this day, October 31st, in 1930. He died in April this year at the age of 90. He is renowned for his voyage to the moon in Apollo 11 in 1969. He stayed in orbit piloting the command module while his two colleagues walked on the moon – or pretended to as some conspiracy theorists believe. They also suspect him of being a member of the Illuminati!

Russian royal Prince Andrew Romanov made it to 98
From November 30th this year: “Prince Andrew Andreievich, who was the eldest member of the Romanov family, has died at the age of 98. The royal was a great-great-grandson in the male line of Emperor Nicholas II of Russia and since the death of Prince Dimitri Romanov in 2016 has been claimant to the headship of the House of Romanov. He was born in London in 1923, growing up in Frogmore Cottage in Windsor where he regularly brushed shoulders with then Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret.” www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-10258767/Eldest-member-Romanov-family-Prince-Andrew-Andreievich-dies-aged-98.html

Herbert Lom lived to 95
The Czech-born actor Herbert Lom died in September 2012, just a few days after his 95th birthday. I particularly liked him in The Ladykillers, North West Frontier and the Pink Panther films. With Peter Sellers in The Ladykillers: “Give me 10 men like Clouseau and I could destroy the world.” With Peter Sellers in a Pink Panther film:

The controversial archaeological historian and originator of alternative theories on ancient Sumerian civilisation Zecharia Sitchin (1920–2010), died at a grand old age of ninety. He is probably best known for his Earth Chronicles series, which documents Sitchin's ideas on Mesopotamian astronomy and symbology, in which he points to an undiscovered twelfth planet beyond Neptune called Nibiru, on which the extraterrestrial race the Annunaki reside. Sitchin likened the Annunaki to the Nephilim of the Bible.
He was born in Baku, then capital of Azerbaijan SSR within the Soviet Union, and grew up in Mandated Palestine. He was one of the handful of scholars who could read cuneiform, which he reportedly taught himself while working as an executive for a shipping company.
A dedicated website to Sitchin is maintained which contains some interesting source material. His name is often mentioned on truth websites and forums, with plenty of crossover with the more 'fringe' ideas of David Icke i.e. Reptilians.
Sitchin's ideas appear to have some enduring cultural significance, with some crediting him as having a major influence on the UFO religion Raëlianism in addition to having inspired several Hollywood movies.
I think Sitchin is a worthy addition to this list of noted nonagenarians.

“I think Sitchin is a worthy addition to this list of noted nonagenarians.” This man and his works are right up Avacyn's street! They are a good example of what this site was created for. So far the people in this thread seem to have little in common, although some of them fall into groups such as artists and actors. David Attenborough and Mel Brooks are still alive at 96; I consider them to be good guys. George Soros is 92 now, and Sir Evelyn de Rothschild died recently at the age of 92.

Michael Caine was 90 yesterday
Michael Caine appears upthread in a picture of Sean Connery that was posted to mark the latter's death in 2020. I said at the time that everyone is much older than I thought they were; I had no idea that Connery had reached the age of 90. Now it is the turn of Michael Caine, Connery's co-star in The Man Who Would Be King. He was mentioned on the old forum as a Brexit supporter. I think he is very good indeed as a high-class conman in the very funny film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels:

P. G. Wodehouse lived to 93
The comic novelist and prolific writer P. G. Wodehouse died in 1975 at the age of 93. The valet Jeeves is one of his best-known characters. His books are full of the amusing slang of the time: "What Ho!”, “Toodle-oo”, “Pip pip” and “Old bean” for example. Wearing the clothes of the time in 1924: Jeeves and Bertie Wooster in one of the many editions of one of the many Jeeves books:

We don't know of any human being who lived longer than 120 years. If they are people on this world who don't age like us and can for various reasons actually live longer than 120 they would have to fake their own death at one point and in these days they would most likely do it in their 90s or early 100s. I have no idea if this is the case for those people mentioned in this thread but I wanted to write this down here because personaly think that it happened before.

truthseeker ! Hello again. I feel guilty for neglecting this thread. I failed to find any obvious clues to the mystery when I looked for common factors in these people's lives. You are right in that living past a certain age would attract unwlecome attention. People would have to travel a lot, live out of sight or, as you say, fake their deaths and invent new identities. This is stirring faint memories. I have read something somewhere...

I just remembered something: Noel Fielding once tweeted that he is more than 2000 years old. Unfortuanaly I can't find the tweet anymore but you can trust me I remember this really well.
What I could find again is a tweet in which he wrote that he is the devil:

Vampires are said to live a long time! Several people have claimed to be centuries old – the Comte de Saint-Germain is one. Maybe he was just an adventurer and a con-man. He was known as der Wundermann. He is said to have founded freemasonry in Germany.

There are a few common factors in regular people reaching a great age, such as a positive outlook, having some form of faith, keeping mentally active, having hobbies... It is not just genetics. If this helps at all.
