Lavendel has found yet another example of deaths of people with royal family connections: "Queen’s Concorde pilot ‘killed dementia-stricken wife before taking his own life’ in Kate Middleton’s village. Tony Meadows, 84, and wife Paula, 83, died in their home in Bucklebury, Berks, on Tuesday" Accident, illness, old age and severe problems explain a lot, but sometimes there is something more at work. There are many possibly suspicious deaths of people around royal family members. Pilots have been mentioned in this connection in other posts.

More about the Meadows case
Tony Meadows was the pilot for Princess Diana too. “Burglars have raided the home of a former Concorde pilot and stolen his career memorabilia, days after he and his wife were found dead. The bodies of Tony and Paula Meadows were discovered at their farmhouse near the village of Bucklebury in West Berkshire, where the Duchess of Cambridge grew up. The couple were both in their 80s when they died in a suspected murder-suicide.” news.sky.com/story/burglary-at-bucklebury-home-of-concorde-pilot-tony-meadows-after-murder-suicide-11689464The thieves are said to have taken items such as cuff-links with Concorde on them. Sarah Ferguson and the self-help guru
This is just too much! Tony Robbins is a fabulously wealthy US-based entrepreneur and motivational speaker. Approximately eleven women have made allegations of inappropriate behaviour against him. This was known in August 2019 when Sarah Ferguson first got involved with him: “...Sarah Ferguson’s new job working with renewable energy firm Pegasus Holdings, of which Robbins, 59, is an investor. Robbins, who counts the Kardashians, Serena Williams and Oprah among his many celebrity fans, denied all of the allegations and said he had been unfairly pursued by the news outlet for a year. The Duchess, who was previously married to the Queen’s son, the Duke of York, became a brand ambassador for the renewable energy firm earlier this month.” www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7368577/Sarah-Ferguson-working-self-help-guru-Tony-Robbins-accused-sexual-misconduct.htmlThere are some other Tony Robbins connections to investigate now. I have seen his advertisements over the years and have always felt that there was something off-putting if not sinister about him.

More about the Pegasus Group connection
Sarah Ferguson’s announcement on Instagram mentions a grid of solar units called The Hive: Why on earth would they want someone with Sarah Ferguson’s track record as brand ambassador? What is behind this alliance? Another publicity picture:

UnseenI please tell me if you see a pattern The delicate health of Mrs Frances Shand Kydd has not been improved by the knowledge that she is to be the subject of a no-holds-barred unauthorised biography. Mrs Shand Kydd, 67, has been upset to be told by friends and relatives that they are being questioned by a journalist who is writing her life story. The book will purport to be the true story of the alluring deb who married Viscount Althorp, ran off with wallpaper heir Peter Shand Kydd, watched her daughter Diana marry Prince Charles and retired to relative obscurity on a remote island in Scotland. It will also illustrate her close relationship with Princes William and Harry, both of whom have stayed with her. Along the way, of course, there were plenty of upsets, including her own mother, Lady Fermoy, testifying against her in the custody battle for her four children and Frances's falling-out with Diana over an interview she gave to Hello! magazine not long before the Princess's fatal car crash. Last year, burglars stole jewellery worth Pounds 100,000 from her home and she was involved in a serious car crash. A close friend said: 'She's had a tough time in the past year. She really doesn't want anything to do with a book and she is grateful that her family have all refused to assist. She also knows that at least one minor member of the Royal Family has been approached and has declined.' The author, Max Riddington, who has written for The Guardian and other newspapers, can also expect little help from her neighbours on Seil, where she has lived in a bungalow since 1972.

“please tell me if you see a pattern”
Princess Diana’s mother was mentioned in a post or two ages ago, but I didn’t know about the burglary (24th October 2002) and the car crash (27th November 2002).
The thieves knew that the house would be empty; they are said to have taken only jewellery. Mrs Shand Kydd could have crashed her car because she was still upset because of losing her jewellery.
I think that on balance this and the Meadows case are just what they are reported to be, but there is always a little doubt where the royals are concerned.
It is interesting that Princess Diana’s mother was friends with Sarah Ferguson’s mother from their school days,

The cash for access sting revisited
The red-top Sunday newspaper News of the World operated a ‘sting’ in 2010 in which Sarah Ferguson asked for £500,000 from ‘a wealthy businessman‘ in return for giving him an introduction to Prince Andrew. She was filmed so can’t say it never happened. Prince Andrew has always denied all knowledge of the matter. Sarah Ferguson says that it was his idea to ask for £500k. She later said that she was drunk when she made comments about his involvement and that he knew nothing about her plan. She did something similar with her comments about her mother’s ill treatment of her. She obviously has poor impulse control! I suspect that she was right the first time. A spiritual adviser to Sarah Ferguson was said to have been the go-between, introducing Sarah F to the ‘fake sheikh’. Prince Andrew knew nothing about her either: he said that he had never met or even heard of her.

Prince Andrew and the cash for access sting
Prince Andrew may have denied knowing the go-between, but evidence to the contrary emerged in 2011: “Days later, he also denied that he had ever met or heard of Sarah’s friend Azra Scagliarini, a clairvoyant. Miss Scagliarini was yesterday identified as the ‘go-between’ who set up a meeting between Sarah and a News of the World reporter posing as an Arab businessman. Now a handwritten letter from the duke to Miss Scagliarini has emerged, in which he thanks her for her ‘help and friendship’. The thank you note for a Christmas gift is dated January 1999, indicating that he had in fact known the 46-year-old psychic to the stars for more than a decade. The Daily Mail understands that New York-based Miss Scagliarini does not claim to have met Andrew face to face, but is adamant that the pair have had ‘dozens’ of phone conversations since she was hired as one of Sarah’s spiritual advisers in 1998. Responding to a claim that the duke had once phoned her to thank her for her help, his spokesman said last May: ‘Having spoken to HRH, we can confirm that he has never met or heard of an individual by the name of Azra Scagliarini and that no such telephone call took place. Yesterday the comment from Buckingham Palace had changed to: ‘The position of the Duke of York is categorically clear. He has not met Azra Scagliarini and she is not a friend of his . The Duke of York takes very seriously any suggestion that he has lied in this matter.’ Aides declined to elaborate.’” www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1365987/Fergies-500k-cash-access-scandal-comes-haunt-Prince-Andrew.htmlSome of this sounds very familiar...

Azra Scagliarini was imprisoned for financial fraud
The alleged go-between in the cash for access sting goes by slightly different names. She is described as a guru and a fixer. She is also said to be a serial scammer! The sting was in 2010; the Yorks are alleged to have known Azra Scagliarini since 1999; she was in prison in 2009: “A so-called psychic to the stars with several Yankees as clients didn’t foresee that pulling off a string of scams would land her behind bars. Azra Shafi-Schelierini, 45, a self-styled life coach and spiritual adviser who has reportedly ministered to ex-Bomber Jason Giambi, former home-run king Mark McGwire and Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, has been in Rikers Island since July on a Manhattan probation violation linked to a grand-larceny conviction. Tomorrow, she’s to be sentenced to more time after pleading guilty to drunken driving in Nassau County. 'She’s a pure con artist,' said George Giotsas, a Connecticut caterer who claims she bilked him out of $10,000 by ordering a huge barbecue spread to Yankee Stadium — even though she’d lied about working for the team... She was tossed in the clink in July for failing to pay restitution on a 2004 check scam, law-enforcement sources said.” nypost.com/2009/09/20/yank-guru-psych-out-in-prison/Azra Scagliarini:

Cash for access: DM comments from 2011
The DM article in which the letter that Prince Andrew wrote to Azra Scagliarini was revealed - after he had denied all knowledge of her - generated some good comments: “He is in it up to his neck and more but still won't go, clinging on because he is a member of the Royal Family. It is for this reason alone that he MUST retire from all public life. His position came with an extra duty of care and responsibility ,for he is unelected , his arrogance is more than staggering , his sense of entitlement more than staggering and his lack of honour in all areas more than staggering . He has nothing to give and nothing left “ “This man is becoming an embarrassment to the country, his family and himself.” “Wholly unsavoury pair who totally deserve each other. Time the queen cut them both adrift then they can mix with as many unsavouries as they like. It is a well known fact that royalty, aristocracy and wealthy live like this but it is not accepted that it gets out for the plebs to see.” “From the first day she clumsily stampeded her way into the house of Windsor it was evident that Fergie would drag the name into the gutter alongside her own - and she has finally done so. There is a name for women like Fergie - and it certainly isn't ‘duchess’.” www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1365987/Fergies-500k-cash-access-scandal-comes-haunt-Prince-Andrew.htmlThat last comment could apply to another duchess who broke into the House of Windsor! It is uncanny how relevant these comments are to the Epstein situation of today. It is depressing to see how long it took for the Queen to finally take some action.

Sarah Ferguson sells her Bentley
She was short of cash in 2016 so sold a car which originally cost £150,000 for just £33,995. She didn’t make a loss because the car was a present from yet another ‘friend’, a Norwegian tycoon called Geir Frantzen. Is there no end to the rich men whose names have been romantically linked to hers? The DM has more details, including a quotation from a friend who says that Fergie is always short of cash. www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3436863/Fergie-selling-150-000-Bentley-Geir-Frantzen-bought-just-33-995.htmlThis comment is insightful: "...’always short of cash.’ But why? It's as if she's being interminably blackmailed or something and can't keep up with the payments! Always seems so restless and desperate...” In the car:

I found a text which could shade light on some of her spending and earning habits
Arab prince.______ " Last time around - immediately after her 1996 divorce from Prince Andrew - Fergie was indulged by the banks who asked too few searching questions about her precarious financial status and extended her line of credit. This time, they won't. The situation would make some people suicidal. But Fergie? 'Sarah's reaction to what was an extreme situation was remarkably calm,' recalled her former friend and adviser Dr Allan Starkie of a former crisis. 'She looked on her overdraft as something which has nothing to do with banks or people - it was just a bad circumstance, like having a sick child.' Starkie, now a successful New York businessman, paints an excoriating picture of the duchess's incapacity to handle her finances. 'She thought she could have it all' In his book Fergie: Her Secret Life he detailed the lies and evasions perpetrated in her name to keep creditors at bay - and the lengths to which she was prepared to go in her attempts to regain solvency. She even attended an intimate dinner with an Arab prince, whom she named Rubber Lips, after she suggested he pay off her multi-million pound overdraft and he did not say no. Clearly the prince was expecting something in return, recalled Starkie. Fergie balked at the prospect of bedding him but nonetheless the prince got a kiss - and she got £50,000. It helps explain the desperate position in which the duchess found herself a few days ago, cajoling and wheedling for a £500,000 payday in return for an introduction to her ex-husband. There comes a point in her repeated financial crises where, again and again, she simply loses touch with reality. Clandestine meetings in hotels and late-night dinners with foreign princes are not part of the real world - but then neither is Fergie any more. Another friend says: 'She lives like an Arab princess. She still travels with an entourage, still spends money like water.' The Mail's Geoffrey Levy recently revealed that, when in Texas, the duchess opened a credit account with the upmarket Neiman Marcus store so she could buy a £1,200 chair she fancied. She then had to think who she could give it to - as she didn't really want it. Few people, including it would appear her bank managers, are aware that the duchess suffers from depression and for a time was prescribed Prozac to counter its debilitating effects. Many put this down to her abandonment at the age of 13 by her mother Susan, who ran off with the Argentine polo player Hector Barrantes, leaving the vulnerable child in the hands of her father, Major Ronald Ferguson." Lavendel your post adds to the picture and explains a lot, but why on earth didn’t she get someone sensible to help her with her finances? She is obviously not a responsible person. I wonder how much money she has wasted over the years. I wonder even more why anyone would want to get involved with her business initiatives.

My fantasy book about the royals Lavendel when you listed some tell-all books about various royals, it got me thinking about a book that I wish someone would produce. Just for starters: It would not be a biography; it would be more of a reference book. It would collect, collate, analyse and summarise the sort of information that is scattered around various threads on here, this one in particular, and in the best DM articles. It would have separate chapters for important themes and topics, of which there are many. It would list some good coincidences, join the dots and identify patterns. It would have timelines, which would help with making connections. It would have cross-references and an index. It would of course be called Behind the Royal Façade. I wish that some of the best DM journalists would get on the job right now!

‘Margaret York’ and Strawbugs
An article in the DM from 2017 says it all. It is yet more of the same. She signs a new business agreement then it all comes to nothing: “Margaret York, entrepreneur (her description), likes to conduct her business affairs within the elegant confines of The Library Bar of London’s Lanesborough Hotel. As she swigs on her favourite tipple, Laurent-Perrier Rosé, she meets with the great and the good to discuss possible money-spinning ventures. Multi-millionaire magnates, private equity whizz kids, Swiss financiers — Ms York holds court with them all… Ms Margaret York is the pseudonym of the Duchess of York, an assumed name which she has been using on two of her myriad directorships — Strawbugs Ltd, set up in April 2015, and the enigmatic sounding La Luna Investments Ltd, incorporated in October 2014… Strawbugs…was set up in 2015 with the aim of re-launching the Duchess’s most famous creation — Budgie The Little Helicopter children’s book series. …last summer the Duchess pulled the plug on the relaunch project after legal agreements had been drawn up… Strawbugs has been dissolved and the Duchess has now signed an agreement with Wow Canada, a publisher, to produce a new series of books with plans in development for a television series.” www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4213522/Fergie-Margaret-York-running-business-bar.htmlI wonder whether the Australian company that she has very recently agreed to produce some books for did any due diligence!

‘Andrew Inverness’ and Naples Gold
Sarah Ferguson is not the only York to have used a pseudonym for business affairs: “For example, with reference to Prince Andrew, on official documents relating to his business affairs he is almost always described using his official title ‘HRH the Duke of York’. Yet when he signed up as a director of Naples Gold, he called himself ‘Andrew Inverness’. The pseudonym — his real name is Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor — appears to be derived from one of his less well-known titles, the Earl of Inverness. It was adopted, according to a source with knowledge of Naples Gold’s formation, ‘in order to avoid media attention’ until the company was up and running. As a result, the only way a casual observer of Naples Gold’s registration document might gather that ‘Andrew Inverness’ is, in fact, Prince Andrew, would be to realise that they both share the birth-date of February, 19, 1960, and have identical handwriting. Intriguingly, this is not the first time Prince Andrew has used the name ‘Inverness’ while seeking to remain below the radar. Earlier this month, the Mail on Sunday revealed that he has a 40 per cent stake in a company called Inverness Asset Management, registered in the tax haven of the British Virgin Islands. It was set up by the Prince in conjunction with another wealthy benefactor called David ‘Spotty’ Rowland, apparently to run an offshore investment fund for their various super-rich contacts.” www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7790861/How-Duke-used-pseudonym-set-secret-firm-sports-tycoon.html

Sarah Ferguson and Howard Lutnick
The DM article about ‘Margaret York’ has a picture of Sarah Ferguson holding hands with an unnamed man. He is Howard Lutnick, CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, a New York financial services firm. He is of course a billionaire. He has Epstein connections and he was involved with Sarah Ferguson’s ‘charities’. They appear to be on good terms:

Another murder/suicide with a royal connection
Last week we had the Meadows case involving a former pilot to the Queen. Now we have a similar case involving someone who worked for Princess Anne: “A dog trainer who once worked for Princess Anne is suspected of murdering his wife at the cottage where Boris Johnson grew up. John Zurick, 67, allegedly shot his estranged wife Debbie, 56, after he discovered she had a new boyfriend. He then turned the shotgun on himself, friends said yesterday. Paramedics were called to the cottage, on the Prime Minister's family estate in Somerset, on Saturday afternoon but were unable to save Mrs Zurick. Her husband was airlifted to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition. The couple, who had been married for 30 years, bred and trained clumber spaniels.” www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8039701/Princess-Annes-gun-dog-trainer-shot-estranged-wife-dead-Boris-Johnsons-family-estate.htmlIt is strange that these sad events happened so close together.

Cantor Fitzgerald, some royals and the 9/11 commemoration of 2013
Cantor Fitzgerald had offices in the World Trade Center. They lost 658 employees in the 9/11 disaster, including CEO Howard Lutnick’s brother. Cantor Fitzgerald holds an Annual Charity Day on or around September 11th. This is a global fundraising exercise in which millions are raised. By coincidence, Meghan Markle was at the New York event on September 11th 2013, while Princes Harry and William simultaneously did some currency trading for BGC, of which Howard Lutnick is also Chairman and CEO, in the London office. Meghan is with Howard Lutnick’s sister Edie in NY here: The two princes man the phones in London:

Cantor Fitzgerald, the York ladies and the 9/11 commemoration
Sarah Ferguson has been involved with fundraising on the Annual Charity Day on many occasions. She has particular reasons to be interested in helping people affected by 9/11 as she came close to being a casualty herself. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have joined her in the fundraising. There are many pictures of the three in action, in both New York and London. Sarah Ferguson with Howard Lutnick and Princess Beatrice, and with Princess Eugenie:

£2,000 fountain pens!
Another new venture that will probably come to nothing: “…the irrepressible Sarah, Duchess of York, has alighted on a new way to bring home the bacon — by forging a commercial partnership with one of the most illustrious Italian manufacturers of luxury goods, Montegrappa. Fergie has teamed up with the company to bring out a new range of fountain pens, inspired by the colours of nature. I’m old-fashioned and almost always work in long hand,’ says the 60-year-old children’s author on social media, explaining that all her words flow onto the page from Montegrappa nibs. ‘I use one of these pens to write my books.’ The 18-carat gold nib on every pen is engraved with Fergie’s personal monogram ‘S’. The price? A snip at £2,000 apiece.” www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8067081/SEBASTIAN-SHAKESPEARE-Sarah-Ferguson-treading-fine-line-pen-advert-aimed-fans.htmlI am sure that she has never used one of these pens until now. Who does she think will buy them? She will get a small payment for each one sold, of which a percentage will go to charity. Groundhog day, the repetition compulsion syndrome...the same old game. With her usual fixed smile:

Sarah Ferguson, Howard Lutnick and 9/11 near misses
Both Sarah Ferguson and Howard Lutnick say that they were intending to go to their offices in the World Trade Centre on the fatal day.
She ran her charities from a rent-free office in the WTC given to her by Howard Lutnick; he was CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, who lost 658 employees.
She said that she was saved because she was delayed by heavy traffic; he was away from his office because he was taking his son to his first day at kindergarten.
By coincidence, the charity employees were not there either. Several key Cantor Fitzgerald executives were out on a fishing trip. This deserves more investigation.
The stories about narrowly avoiding death can’t be taken at face value. There are theories that some people stayed away because they knew or were warned that something was going to happen.

A confession from Sarah Ferguson
Sarah Ferguson gave an interview to CNN in 2002. The entire transcript is available online. As usual, she expresses herself very badly. This extract is a revelation: “FERGUSON: Well, when in the darkest moments when you're on your own is when you really -- you don't feel happy. In my case, I never even felt the feelings of not feeling happy. I just ate and put on weight. So I used food as a substitute for my feelings. And so that's why I can talk about it so openly now. I've gained a lot of weight. And a lot of people turn to drugs or smoking or drink or shopping or overspending. I did all of them.” transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0201/08/lkl.00.htmlThat would explain a lot, including her erratic behaviour.

Joke of the Day Avacyn you mentioned taking a look at Sarah Ferguson’s children’s books. She has produced many titles, not all for children; I suspect that she had help from ghost-writers and relied on her own title to sell them. The description for What I Know Now: Simple Lessons Learned the Hard Way (2003) is very ironic indeed: “Admired as much for her honest assessment of her foibles as for her grace in the glare of the media's spotlight, The Duchess here reveals her most private self. She share the truths she has discovered by embracing her flaws, striving to make every life decision with integrity and witnessing the selfless acts of others around her. Each lesson springs from a life rich with disappointments and victories and is seasoned with a healthy dose of humility and warm wit. Although her personal struggles have been played out on the public stage, The Duchess' thoughtful, simple approach applies to the struggles we all face. WHAT I KNOW NOW offers advice for the everyday as it illuminates the delightful spirit, undeniable resilience and trademark grace under fire of a woman who considers every challenge an opportunity to learn and grow.” Learn and grow? That is exactly what has not happened. Her life is one Groundhog Day after another. Who would take advice from such a mess of a person!

Sarah Ferguson received over £500,000 in ‘business loans’ from a theatre company that is now in financial trouble: “A theatre company chaired by Conservative peer Lord Grade was placed into administration yesterday after a court heard how a Hong Kong tycoon with links to the Royal Family ran up an expense account totalling almost £5million. Businessman Dr Johnny Hon invoiced the ‘simply extraordinary’ sum of £4.7million to Gate Ventures, now chaired by Lord Grade, when he acted as chairman before the former BBC boss took over in December 2017. The Duchess of York was a director of the company before stepping down in December. Gate Ventures loaned Sarah Ferguson £287,577 and loaned £232,003 to her tea, dinnerware and jewellery company, Ginger & Moss...” The commenters got it right: “How the heck was Fergie a director of anything. She couldn't direct traffic.” “Whoever made her a director needs their head examined. Whoever loaned her money is a fool.” Sarah Ferguson, with the usual fixed smile, and Dr. Hon:

Ginger & Moss
This is yet another of Sarah Ferguson’s new enterprises that came to nothing. It started in 2015. She was going to sell a selection of flavoured tea to Americans. She got a loan from the above mentioned Johnny Hon. Sarah Ferguson ceased to have significant control of this company in March 2019. With Princess Beatrice in the usual staged promotion picture:

Two disturbing pictures
As many DM commenters have noticed, something is obviously very wrong. Accidentally making that finger sign again: Looking like a deranged opera singer:

Hartmoor the company
As previously mentioned, Hartmoor is the name of yet another of Sarah Ferguson’s failed companies. It was set up in 2006 to cash in on America's apparent love affair with the Duchess. It was supposed to manage her seemingly lucrative career in publishing, media and public speaking. As usual, she told everyone how great it was going to be: “She had great hopes when it launched, telling an interviewer from Harper's Bazaar, the American glossy magazine, at the time that she intended it to be ‘ a global inspirational lifestyle and wellness company’, adding: ‘Hartmoor is a department store of everything I do.’... The Duchess had hoped some of the profits from Hartmoor would be channelled to the Sarah Ferguson Foundation, a charity run out of New York and which has been described as Hartmoor's philanthropic arm.” www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/6257686/Revealed-Duchess-of-Yorks-US-firm-collapses-with-1m-debts.htmlNeedless to say, in 2009 Hartmoor collapsed with huge debts.

Hartmoor the book
Sarah Ferguson announced that she was writing a romantic historical novel called Hartmoor; it was intended to be published around 2008 then was delayed - or abandoned. There are no pictures of the cover. It seems never to have come to anything.
From the advance promotional blurb on Amazon:
“This is a classic historical romance from Sarah, Duchess of York. It is Spring 1782, and Lady Margaret Sarah Montagu, the only child of the 9th Earl of Hartmoor, is making her social debut at Hartmoor House in Grosvenor Square. While Lady Margaret cannot inherit her father's title, she is of interest to most of the eligible peers of the realm, for she is heiress to a huge Irish estate, Wingfield Park...
From the moment of her appearance, it is clear, from the hush that falls upon the ballroom, that she is not only an independent soul, but a great beauty; a woman who will want to control her own life, loves and destiny.”
Someone should learn how to use commas correctly!
It is strange that she used the name Hartmoor again.
